I'm just got back from seeing the 2nd Gurren Lagann movie at Viz Cinema. Epic shit was epic. The ending was even superior to the TV series. Though there were a few pacing problems during the transitioning to the Anti-Spiral invasion, the battles were amazingly updated. To those of you who have not watched the TV series, it is highly recommended that you do so before watching the film. Otherwise, the TV series finale may be less of a impact. Anyway, I'll try writing more on this tomorrow. For now, I'll just leave a few spoilers below. Do not read if you don't wish to ruin it.


- Nia's wish to plant flowers around the world was a nice touch.
- Epic CG sequence when Mugans arrive.
- LordGenome gets a epic hacking sequence during the stopping of the moon battle.
- Rossiu changes suicide attempt location, lessening impact. The first film didn't cover Rossiu's backstory though, so it's understandable.
- Other than Kittan, the rest of the team survives.
- Nia gains a nice mecha, and engages in battle.
- More Tengen Toppa mecha's appear for each character.
- Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is created through Gattai.
- Nipples can be visible.
- The battle ends with a manly fist fight between Anti-Spiral leader and Simon, ending with a RockMan styled drill attack.
